Erica Fraga

i think expanding the canal could be a good or bad thing depending on what the government does with it. if they are trading more goods and services through the canal and creating more revenue for the country, then i think it would be a great thing to expand the canal. but if it is going to be for more cruise ships to be able to sail through, then i think that it is a waste even though the people that spend their money on cruise lines are "stimulating the economy".

    I disagree with the second part of your opinion. I believe that this is all around a good idea because it would help the economies of both Panama and those nations with cruise ship industries. With the economy of the United States affecting it's people as well as many nations that we are economically involved with, an opportunity to make the transportation of goods and resources would help promote an upturn in both Panamanian and American industries.
